Join the GASWRX Birmingham Security and Events Team

Bridgegate Security is recruiting a brand-new security and events team for GASWRX, an exciting new large-scale music and cultural venue opening in Birmingham.

Opening on Saturday 12 September 2026, with house music icon Armand Van Helden headlining the launch event, GASWRX will welcome major artists and events throughout the year.

We are looking for professional, approachable and dependable people to help create a safe, welcoming and memorable experience for everyone visiting the venue.

Licensed and non-licensed opportunities are available, with approximately 10-30 hours per week depending on the role and event schedule.

Available Positions

• Administrators – £12.71-£13.00 per hour
  Supporting the event team with administration, staff coordination and accurate record-keeping. No SIA licence required.
• Event Stewards – £12.71-£13.00 per hour
  Welcoming guests, providing directions, supporting crowd movement and helping maintain a safe event environment. No SIA licence required.
• CCTV Operatives – £13.00 per hour
  Monitoring the venue’s CCTV systems, identifying potential risks and communicating effectively with the wider security team. A valid SIA CCTV licence is required.
• SIA Door Supervisors – £13.00-£14.24 per hour
  Supporting safe entry, managing queues and crowds, monitoring the venue and responding professionally to incidents. A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is required.
• Team Leaders, Senior Door Supervisors and Deputy Head Door Supervisors – £15.00-£17.00 per hour
  Leading frontline teams, allocating responsibilities and maintaining high operational and customer-service standards throughout each event.
• Head Door Supervisors and Security Managers – £19.00-£21.00 per hour
  Taking responsibility for the venue’s security operation, coordinating teams and acting as the primary link between Bridgegate Security and venue management.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will depend on the position, but may include:

• Creating a professional and welcoming first impression
• Supporting the safe arrival, entry and departure of guests
• Managing queues, access points and crowd movement
• Conducting searches and ticket or accreditation checks where required
• Monitoring guest welfare and identifying potential risks
• Responding calmly and professionally to incidents
• Using conflict-management and de-escalation skills
• Working closely with venue management and emergency services
• Completing accurate incident and operational reports
• Helping deliver safe, enjoyable and memorable events

A valid SIA licence is essential for licensed security positions but is not required for administration or event stewarding roles.

Previous security, hospitality, customer-service or event experience is beneficial.
