Barbara’s Bier Haus is bringing its lively alpine-inspired nightlife experience to the city this August, and we’re looking for professional, customer-focused SIA Licensed Door Supervisors to join our opening security team.
At Bridgegate Security, we provide some of the leading security jobs in Southampton, supporting bars, venues and the wider night-time economy. Our Door Supervisors are more than security professionals – they’re an extension of the venue team, delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control customer entry and exit procedures
- Conduct ID checks and enforce venue policies
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and staff
- Handle incidents and conflict situations professionally
- Work closely with venue management and team members
- Monitor crowd behaviour and support venue safety procedures
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
- Previous experience within nightlife, bars, clubs, or hospitality venues preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and team-focused
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
What We Offer
- Door Supervisor – £13.68 per hour
- Deputy Head Door Supervisor – £16.00 per hour (subject to experience)
- Flexible shifts, 2-7 nights per week
- 10-30 hours available each week
