Bridgegate Security Partners with GASWRX Birmingham

A new venue, a major opening line-up and 40 Bridgegate team members on the ground. Bridgegate Security is proud to announce its partnership with GASWRX Birmingham, supporting one of the city’s newest destinations for music and live events.

Our first deployment saw the team support GASWRX’s official opening on Saturday 12 September. With Armand Van Helden headlining alongside Danny Howard, Low Steppa, Prunk and more, it was a big opening night for the venue and the start of a new working relationship for Bridgegate.

A new chapter for Birmingham’s nightlife

Located on Adderley Street in Digbeth, GASWRX occupies a building originally constructed in 1909 as part of Birmingham’s gasworks. Today, that industrial setting has been given a new purpose as a venue for music, culture and live experiences.

The venue brings together spaces including its Main Room, Basement, Mezzanine and Terrace. That variety creates room for different sounds, crowds and event formats, making it an exciting addition to the city’s music scene.

For Bridgegate, joining GASWRX from opening night means getting to know the venue and its team as they establish what guests can expect from a night there.

Launching our GASWRX security partnership

Forty members of the Bridgegate team supported the opening event, helping the venue welcome guests for its first official party.

An opening brings plenty of anticipation. It also sets the tone for the nights that follow. Our focus was on supporting the experience GASWRX wants to create, with a team that understands the importance of being professional, approachable and ready to help.

At a venue with several event spaces, security needs to fit the way the whole operation works. Understanding the layout, communicating clearly and working closely with the venue team are central to that approach.

Security that supports the night

People arrive at a music venue ready to enjoy themselves. The welcome they receive, the way questions are answered and the support available when they need it all contribute to their experience.

For Bridgegate, good security means taking those interactions seriously. We want guests to feel comfortable approaching our team and confident that someone is there to help, while giving the venue dependable support throughout the event.

That is the approach we’re bringing to GASWRX: understanding the venue, respecting its atmosphere and helping people feel safe enough to enjoy it.

More big nights ahead

The opening was our first deployment, with Bridgegate staffing expected to grow to 55–60 team members for upcoming events as the partnership develops.

We’re looking forward to building on that first night, strengthening our relationship with the GASWRX team and supporting the venue’s events programme.
