International Security Officers’ Day 2026: Protecting the Night-Time Economy

When you think back to a great night out, you probably remember the music, the people and the memories you made.

What you may not remember is everything that went right behind the scenes.

The door supervisor who welcomed you at the entrance. The officer who calmly resolved a situation before it escalated. The team member who noticed someone needed support and made sure they were safe.

On International Security Officers’ Day 2026, we are celebrating the hundreds of Bridgegate door supervisors and close protection officers working nationwide to protect customers, venue teams and the UK’s night-time economy.

For more than 40 years, Bridgegate Security has supported bars, nightclubs, pubs and late-night venues across the country. Our licensed professionals do far more than manage entry. They identify risks, de-escalate conflict, support vulnerable people and help create safe, welcoming environments in which people can enjoy their night.

Frontline experience also runs throughout Bridgegate. Our operations managers maintain their SIA licences, understand the realities of the role and remain ready to step into frontline operations whenever additional support is needed.
